Film Maker Job Title: Film Maker Reports to: Media Director Work Week: Sunday – Thursday Hours Worked: Full Time; Office hours, Weekend Services, Other Services General Description: The Film Maker will operate as a part of the Church on the Rock Media Team as a vital role in achieving the goals and mission of the department: to develop, amplify, and support overall communication strategies of the church. This position will operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment where creativity & teamwork is an essential job function. The Film Maker is responsible for every facet of video production; from concept to delivery. The candidate should possess a broad technical skill set, creative ability, great communication skills, and the ability to develop and lead a team. Qualifications: Team player and willing to collaborate on projects Expert in Final Cut Pro and/or adobe Premiere Proficient and knowledgeable on Camera technology & lighting Multiple years experience and knowledge of the complete lifecycle of film creation including: o Project discovery o Concept development o Story Boarding o Scripting o Production design & budgeting o Prop procurement/Environment design o Directing/Actor development o Editing o Color Correction o Motion Graphics Ministry Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Develop/create innovative videos and other mini productions, with excellence and efficiency, to assist in the support of weekly sermons, events, and other productions as directed. Contribute as an important member of the media team in crafting the weekend experience, both in planning sessions as well as staging, multi-campus support, and other duties. Film and produce weekly video announcements and transition videos. Recruit, train, develop, and empower a team of volunteers (actors, video/audio, camera, lighting) Help with other media projects as assigned by the Media Director. Maintain all video related equipment and inventory.
