Part Time Minister of Worship

Music Principle Function

The minister will perform the following specific functions, assuring that a proper balance is reached between the various areas of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities
Oversee and direct the music ministries of the church including:

1.Assist the pastor in planning the worship services.
2.Plan congregational music, which offers a variety of worship opportunities for all members and compliments and reinforces the pastor's message.
3.Lead the congregational singing in worship services.
4.Plan choir music, which offers a variety of worship opportunities throughout the various music seasons.
5.Direct the adult choir in rehearsals and performances.
6.Recruit vocalists and musicians for choir and/or special performances.
7.Plan, oversee and recruit for the children's and youth music programs.
8.Schedule special music performances and coordinate with the pastor.
9.Develop the annual music budget.
10.Supervise all music expenditures within the music budget.
11.Spend a minimum of 20 hours per week in planning and implementation of the above responsibilities.
