First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, PA is seeking an experienced Minister of Music to serve as Director of Worship (DW). Music is an essential medium for worship at FPCA. Our ministry and love of God is expressed in both traditional and contemporary services. Responsibilities include coordinating the musical elements of worship in creative collaboration with the pastoral staff. This person will have excellent organization/communication skills, and be a "people person" - a catalyst who inspires all age groups and backgrounds to participate enthusiastically in our musical offerings. The DW may assume the role of organist, director for vocal and/or hand bell choirs, worship leader for the contemporary service or some combination of these roles depending on his or her skill set. The DW is also responsible for directly managing the support staff and functions as the central "hub" for all of the musical offerings at FPCA.
