ABOUT WAVE CHURCH SD: Wave Church SD began in December 2010 as a simple gathering of a few families in a local Carmel Valley home. Our heart has always been to be a spiritual family, to love Jesus, and be a blessing to our community. We have a passion to authentically know and follow Jesus, to experience the power of God together, and to live out a life of love and service in the midst of our families, community, and world. Wave Church SD launched publicly as a church plant in September 2011 at Ocean Air Recreation Center. At Wave we passionately believe that God's desire for our community is to set lives free to live fully alive with Jesus! Our heart has stayed the same but our family has grown to 200 over the past 4 ½ years. WAVE VISION: Live Free... Live Jesus... Wave Church exists to partner with God to set lives free to live fully alive with Jesus! WAVE MISSION: At Wave Church SD we focus on doing ministry simply. We believe that Living Free... Living Jesus is experienced as we seek to make disciples of Jesus. In Mark 1:17 Jesus gave us three defining characteristics of a disciple saying, "Come Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. " These three characteristics define our missional focus. Everything we do at Wave hits one of these three targets. In order to fulfill our Vision and Mission, God has led us to seek out a worship pastor who will join us in seeking to bring Jesus' kingdom to Carmel Valley San Diego through Wave Church! WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE TO BE A WORSHIP PASTOR @ WAVE? Connecting Lives to Jesus As a Worship Pastor at Wave Church, it is our heart for you to pastor first, and lead worship second. You will have a pivotal role in our Sunday morning services. The single goal of Sunday morning worship is to connect others to Jesus and His church. As such the role of Worship Pastor at Wave is to create a worship experience on Sunday mornings that engage and lead our Wave family into authentic worship of Jesus. As a worship pastor you will work alongside our pastoral team to care for our Wave family, as well as strategically plan Sunday services that allows others to connect to Jesus and His Church. Growing Lives in Faith As part of our Wave pastoral team we expect you to have a learning spirit. Our desire is for you to always be growing in your faith. Our desire is for you to continue to develop and mature your God given gifts and talents. As a staff we are also committed to growing together. Through trainings, conferences, and readings we want to partner with Jesus in becoming the leaders He desires us to be. As we grow together we desire to affect faith and promote growth amongst our church family. As worship pastor at Wave you will have the opportunity to lead the creative arts team in their spiritual growth. Serving Our World With the Love of Jesus As a Worship Pastor at Wave Church we expect you to set the example for what it looks like to serve with the love of Jesus. We expect you to encourage a culture of serving with excellence among all volunteers. At Wave, we seek to provide opportunities for our families to serve both inside and outside of the church. As worship pastor at Wave you will oversee volunteer opportunities within the creative arts team. Our goal is to provide a platform for our families to serve Jesus with their time, gifts, and talents. SPECIFIC MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Worship Pastor of Wave Church you will be responsible for the communication, recruitment, and development of volunteers for the creative arts team. Schedule creative arts volunteers for all services. Utilize Planning Center Online to prepare all needed materials for the success of Creative Arts volunteers on Sunday mornings, including: song charts, tech layouts, set lists, and presentation arts. Strategically plan weekly set lists to coordinate with and enhance the vision for each service or special event. Lead Sunday Morning Practice, and Sunday Morning Worship Services Manage and maintain the condition of worship equipment. Make repairs or purchases of equipment as needed. Have oversight of set up and tear down of all stage and tech equipment on Sunday's in partnership with the set up and tear down team.
