Job Description:

Music Worship Leader 1. Direct the planning, coordination, operation & evaluation of a comprehensive music worship ministry 2. Assist the pastor in planning the Sunday morning services of the church and be responsible for the selection of a balanced & inclusive music plan 3. Lead & direct group & congregational singing & coordinate worship services 4. Prepare an annual music budget proposal for submittal to the Budget & Finance Committee 5. Engage & lead other church staff & the elders in planning a calendar of music worship activities 6. Supervise the work of all music worship leaders & accompanists in the music program. Delegate work & responsibility as needed 7. Plan & lead Sunday evening youth music services in coordination with the Student Ministries Pastor 8. Coordinate with the Children's Music Worship leader 9. Coordinate & arrange music for special children's music programs & holiday programs 10. Recruit, coordinate, & guide the Multi-media Team in planning worship service details Children's Ministry Coordinator 11. Prepare an annual Children's Ministry budget proposal for submittal to the Budget & Finance Committee 12. Work closely with those responsible for education programs of the church, such as Sunday school, Children's Program, & other such weekly scheduled programs 13. Plan & lead special Children's Ministry activities 14. Recruit, coordinate & guide Children's Sunday school teaching teams 15. Recruit, coordinate & guide Children's Church teaching teams 16. Recruit & coordinate with a Vacation Bible School leader 17. Coordinate with the AWANA Commander 18. Provide a coordinated effort of outreach and evangelism Family Ministry Coordinator 19. Prepare an annual Adult Ministry budget proposal for submittal to the Budget & Finance Committee 20. Plan & coordinate special events for children, families, & the congregation as a whole 21. Coordinate with the various adult Sunday school teachers 22. Coordinate with the Women's Ministry director 23. Coordinate with the Men's Ministry director 24. Provide a coordinated effort of outreach & evangelism

Job Qualifications:

- Seminary Degree and/or Theological Education with practical job experience preferred - Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills - An ability to identify and foster leadership in adults and students - A desire to be a team player who works well with other staff - Display a personal aptitude for spiritual, emotional, social, and physical wellness - An attitude of flexibility and adaptability in the face of the changing moods, plans, and directions common to working with children, youth, young adults, parents, and church members - A background in music and an ability to lead congregational and youth worship - A resilient and persevering spirit that is not easily discouraged or frustrated but contributes to stability and longevity in this position - A sense of humor and energetic personality are also very helpful - Love people
