POSITION DESCRIPTION
Develop & lead the overall Children & Youth Ministry and provide clear vision to all ministry workers and volunteers
Recruit, train and equip a team of adult volunteers to assist you in the ministry
Establish & conduct standard monthly meetings with your volunteers for the purpose of encouragement and direction
Oversee the recruitment process of volunteers, develop screening and interview procedures, and monitors the selection and direction of Children/Youth Volunteers
Develop volunteer Teachers training materials and participate in training sessions
Develop & oversee all youth ministry sub-areas such as dance, music, praise team, etc.
Manage and administer Children/Youth's Ministry budget and monitor monthly expenses in order to stay within budget.
Facilitate all weekly Children/Youth services and Special events
Maintain a reliable updated database of active and non active youth
Maintain a reliable updated database of active and new children/youth volunteers
Participate in all regular staff & leadership meetings and development opportunities
Maintain an outreach focus in all planning and activities
Give quarterly evaluation to all volunteers in your ministry area.
Develop retreats, recreation activities, service activities, educational trips and seminars for age-appropriate groups
Guide the education curriculum selection process and/or design the curriculum for children & youth infant to 12th grade
Plan a yearly calendar of events and provide a monthly calendar of ministry activities to Business Administrator
Evaluate C&Y ministry needs and present them to Business Administrator
Provide letters of recommendation for youth and ministry volunteers when requested
Stay informed on special education materials, seminars and training that may assist in the overall ministry of the C&Y
Make weekly/ bi-weekly/ monthly school visits children and youth as needed
Coordinate ages appropriate activities on and off campus
Must maintain onsite office

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
− 3+ yrs working with Children and/or Youth in ministry
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
− Bachelor Degree (preferred) or 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in Children & Youth Ministry
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
− Strong Leadership Skills
− Strong Administrative Skills
− Strong Communication Skills
− Strong Biblical knowledge & ability to teach biblical principles
− Must be able to pass Criminal & DMV background check
− Reference letter from Church or School Administrators
