Job Title: Youth Pastor/Director of Youth Ministries
Reports To: Executive Pastor
Salary Range: Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits package.
Job Summary: Responsible for facilitating and leading a year-round youth program at Cornerstone Christian Church, which includes midweek junior high and senior youth groups, small groups, Sunday programming, and one-on-one mentoring and discipleship relationships with students. A team player who leads the youth ministry while serving the overall church with his/her talents and gifts.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides organizational and program leadership to junior and senior high youth ministries. Plans, programs, and facilitates midweek youth groups, worship, evangelism, and other youth activities in a creative and engaging manner. Plans and programs weekend retreats, special youth events, and mission trips, both internationally and locally. Recruits and trains volunteer youth leaders. Prepares and teaches Bible-intensive sermons and lessons for midweek youth group and Sunday school, while working closely with Cornerstone's Director of Discipleship to prepare the curriculum.
Invests in students through one-on-one discipleship to help them become passionate followers of Jesus Christ and continue to grow in their faith. Ability to communicate well with parents and guardians. Executes periodic meetings with parents and guardians to establish close and open relationships. Understands and uses multimedia for programming. Works with the media team to produce videos and other visuals. Partners with other churches and ministries to organize/attend regional conferences, concerts, and events.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or related Bible college experience. Youth ministry experience required.
