If so… Here’s the deal: Our Pastor of Youth Ministries will give direct leadership to the Middle School and High School Ministry with the focus of creating vibrant and growing ministries that help students find their identity in Jesus and to fearlessly live it out. What you need to have: • A lifestyle that demonstrates the qualifications of a spiritual leader (1Tim. 3:1-13; 2Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9). • A growing Christian faith and character. • A calling to pastoral ministry. • A commitment to the mission of the church. • Understanding of and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of Creekside Community Church. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a ministry position. • 5+ years leading a youth ministry, with experience in growing a group of 50+ students. • Able to connect with students and parents, both churched and unchurched. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Organized and capable of strategically building a strong program. • Ability to pass a background check. Responsibilities: Youth Ministries • Direct leadership of and participation in the church’s efforts to minister with and to Middle School and High School Students in 6th – 12th grade. • Solidify weekend/mid-week Youth Ministry Services: Plan, organize and execute all parts including worship, teaching, and small groups. • Build strong, engaging and relational Youth Ministry Teams involved in weekly services, special events and small groups. • Create engaging events, camps, retreats and mission experiences that will point students to Jesus and will encourage students to invite new friends and would simply be fun and exciting experiences. • Develop a Bible teaching calendar for students that takes into consideration the full counsel of God’s Word and the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental needs of the youth in our community. • Build relationships with students at local schools by visiting/serving campuses and through supporting Fellowship of Christian Athletes. General • Regularly report to the church’s leadership about developments in the youth ministry. • Work with other church leaders to find ministry opportunities and connections for students in the broader church family. • Annually help revise the budget for the Youth Ministries and operate within the constraints of that budget. • Lead efforts to minister to parents and the parenting needs of the church body. • Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the Creekside staff and elders. • Participate in staff meetings and retreats. Hours 40+ weekly; including administrative work, relational ministry, staff meetings, planning, programs, reading, biblical study, and church attendance.
