We believe children are the future of our church and community. Investing in the lives of children and their families is a critical and awesome privilege. We want our children to understand Bible truths, experience God's love, and be part of the church community through meaningful relationships and service. Ultimately we desire our children to launch a lifetime relationship with Jesus that fills them with wonder, joy, forgiveness, and love.

Our Need...

We are seeking an individual with a passionate heart for children and who has an unquenchable desire to lead children into a full experience with God. We are seek-ing an experienced leader who will inspire, lead and grow our children's ministry by partnering with parents, staff and the church community.

Qualifications:

Passion for children
Excellent communication and relational skills
Strong administrative and leadership skills
Experience in developing staff and volunteer ministry teams
Knowledgeable in children's ministry, child development and spiritual formation
2 years of related experience; 5 years preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities:

Develop loving relationships with children and families
Create and cast vision for Children's Ministry
Choose and implement curriculum, reviewing its effectiveness
Oversee and deploy the people and financial resources
Train and supervise paid Children's Ministry staff
Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers
Ensure safety and security of children
Provide a safe, clean, attractive, fun environment for children inside and out
Provide a loving environment for special-needs children and families
Recruit and train buddies for special-needs children
Communicate regularly with parents
Provide pastoral care, coordinating with appropriate resources
Integrate children into the larger church community
Work collaboratively with pastors, staff and ministry leaders

Our Church...

Hillside is an intergenerational church with a desire to pivot towards the next gen-eration. Our church is situated on a hillside in a quiet residential neighborhood. We believe God has called us into community so that we can be a part of bringing his Kingdom to the world off the hill.
