Job Summary
The office assistant is a ministry support position. The hired office assistant will report directly to the business administrator and will provide assistance in the office with record keeping, telephone assistance and reception. The schedule of this position is 20-25 hours per week.

Job Functions will include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Log Worship Attendance in Servant Keeper Database
a. Log worship and Sunday school class attendance
b. Add new visitors
c. Print first time visitor letters for pastors

2. Maintain member status
a. Create/update prospects and provide lists to pastors monthly
b. When new persons join, create packet including name tags, directories, contribution envelopes
c. When persons join/leave/decease, update status and if transfer create letters as appropriate for pastor, maintain deceased list for All Saints Day
d. Maintain statistic reports/files

3. Provide assistance to staff, creating mailing labels/lists
a. Upon request, create listing and/or labels for mailings or attendance logs using Servant Keeper database
b. Assist with printing, cutting, folding, stuffing and mailings
c. Maintain database for Good News mailings and create labels and reports monthly

4. Provide login sheets for all meetings
a. Maintain database in Servant Keeper of persons serving in various meetings
b. Maintain login sheet for each meeting
c. Place in appropriate room for each scheduled meeting utilizing EMS calendar
d. Pick up login sheet after each meeting and log attendance

5. Maintain coverage during lunch hour and vacations
a. Answer phones
b. Assist visitors with questions
c. Provide food bags for the homeless

Minimum Requirements:
Special Skills - ability to be a team player, ability to maintain organized files and possess strong communication skills that include knowledge of current communication mediums.
Possess a working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Word and MS Excel.
