Associate Pastor of Student MinistriesFirst Free Church Job Description: Our mission in Student Ministries is simple: to lead our students to know and follow Jesus. The volunteers and staff our our ministry work hard and have a blast helping young people discover and fall in love with Jesus!
Under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Family Ministries, the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries will be responsible for: Development of volunteer leaders. Oversight of weekly and seasonal programming. Development of Student Leaders who become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ and live a lifestyle of investing in others to do the same. This position will work with all areas of Student Ministries, but the primary focus will be Junior High (grades 6-8). About First Free Church:First Free Church is full of anticipation for what God wants to do in and through us. Founded in 1983 by five families looking for a place to study God's Word, we have grown into a congregation with over 2700 active participants and 1500 in weekly attendance, including adults, teens, and children. From the beginning, we have been known for solid biblical teaching coupled with warm community. We have also had a strong focus on outreach through global missions, local service, and church planting. First Free is located in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Job Qualifications:Prefer four-year college degree or greater. Seminary or formal Bible training preferred. Prefer a minimum of four years' experience leading a large student ministry. Proven success in the following areas: o Recruiting, leading and equipping adult volunteers o Creative and applied Bible teaching to large groups of students. o Implementing and facilitating small group ministries o Organizing, planning, and administrating student activities such as camps, mission trips, and retreats. o Strong comfort level investing in adult volunteer leaders.
