Contemporary Worship LeaderMOORESVILLE FIRST UNITED METHODIST Job Description: First United Methodist Church, in Mooresville, Indiana, seeks a qualified candidate to fill the specialized role of Contemporary Worship Leader.
Located in a small-town suburb southwest of Indianapolis, FUMC has a reputation for being mission focused and offering Spirit-filled worship. We serve a congregation of 500 members with an average worship attendance of nearly 400 across three Sunday morning services. The Contemporary Worship Leader will work closely with staff and volunteers to develop and lead a contemporary worship service held each Sunday consistent with the mission, vision, and core values of the church. This is a part-time position with the possibility to expand to full-time employment based on qualifications and experience. Job Qualifications: Must possess a call to ministry through worship and music. Possess a vibrant, growing, and Holy Spirit-filled relationship with Jesus Christ. Prior experience leading or serving on a praise or worship team. Punctual, prepared and motivated to give God your absolute best at every opportunity. Must possess the ability to be a lead vocalist and accompany on an instrument. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Formal music education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
