We seek an individual who is committed to guiding Holy Spirit-led worship through a broad scope of repertoire and resources in a multi-venue church. The Contemporary Worship Leader serves the vision of Matthews United Methodist Church: Through Jesus Christ, we will transform the world, one life at a time, while creatively designing and leading our 9:30AM contemporary worship. We seek an individual exceptionally skilled toward leading our praise team and offering assistance/advice in the planning and execution of contemporary worship in our sanctuary worship venue. This position collaborates closely with our Worship Production Director, our Contemporary Worship Associate and reports directly to the Director of Music & Worship Arts. The Contemporary Worship Leader (CWL) will serve as a primary voice of worship and provide oversight of musical and scheduling resources. The CWL should have knowledge and experience with Planning Center, CCLI, ProPresenter among many other worship resources. This person should be comfortable in the roles of spiritual leader, song leader and exhibit great passion for building teams, empowering others to bring creative and technical excellence to the on-stage and backstage elements of a multi-venue, multi-style environment.
