Category: Youth Ministry
Posted on: December 16, 2019
Zion Evangelical Church is seeking a God-called servant who can help us build our youth program from the ground up. This person would oversee all facets of youth ministry and work with others to fulfill our spiritual vision and grow youth participation. This includes building disciples through relationships, meeting the diverse needs of today's youth, connecting the Bible to real-world experiences, and developing a mission outlook within the group. We envision this as a part-time (+/- 20 hours/week) position, but are open to discuss full-time possibilities. Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.
Develop a model for spiritual formation in our youth, including curriculum and training for leaders.
About Zion Evangelical Church:
Zion Evangelical Church was founded in the 1840s by German settlers to the area. It is primarily a rural/farming community. We maintain a strong traditional foundation, but look forward to moving into the future. We are Biblically-based and our Statment of Faith can be found at:
We believe in mission and ministry, and are actively involved in several areas to bring the good news of Jesus to our community.
We have recently gone through a disassociation with the United Church of Christ which caused us to lose some membership. We are looking for someone to help us seek and retain young families for our congregation.
Meets the qualifications of church leadership as set forth in 1 Timothy 3
Someone called by God to Biblically shepherd young people
A heart for creating God-centered relationships with youth
Studies and understands youth culture
Demonstrated experience in working with youth and building a youth program
