Director of Children and Family Ministries Job - First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, Bellevue, Washington

First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue (FPCB) is seeking a new director (or pastor) of Children and Family Ministries with a demonstrated passion for Christ. FPCB is a growing church of approximately 2900 members, with a vision for revival, located in downtown Bellevue, WA. The Children's Director will be responsible for ministering to children ages birth through sixth grade and their families. The director will develop and manage paid and volunteer staff, oversee multiple programs, and implement the vision God has for the children at FPCB.

Candidate Profile

Passionate about Jesus and understands their calling in life to be the Christ-focused spiritual development of children and families
Thorough knowledge of the Bible and how to engage children and families with Christ's message in today's culture.
A relational coach who has the ability to lead, inspire and facilitate professional staff and volunteers
Mobilize the entire church in equipping the next generation for the Kingdom
Assess and enhance programs to align with FPCB vision and educational research in children and family ministries
Exemplary steward of time and resources
Eager learner and teacher of teachers -- ability to collaborate and delegate
Gifted in engaging people of all ages in public and private forums

Required Background

Christian faith and submission to a Biblical world view
Bachelors degree
Demonstrated experience leading children, youth or family/parent education
Experience supervising others

Other attributes

Undergraduate or graduate degree or other formal training in the field of education, family, leadership or theology
Experience in related areas such as Christian Camps,Young Life, YMCA,_noemailmunity programs, etc.
