We are seeking a Director of Children and Youth Ministries to oversee and expand a vibrant, faith-based Children and Youth Ministry program (preschool through 8th grade) for approximately 80-100 young people.

The Director's main responsibilities would include working with the pastor and the Children's Ministry Team to_noemailanize and manage the educational, music and spiritual programs (that occur on Sunday and mid-week) for the children of the church and to coordinate special family events and holiday related services and activities.

It is our vision that the children and youth ministry program of the church reach out beyond the walls of the church and into the_noemailmunity to help all children and youth grow in their faith, knowledge and Christian_noemailmitment and share the love of Christ with those around them. Through this important work, we hope to make First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica a spiritual center for Southern California.

Our ideal candidate would have a strong Christian faith, boundless energy and enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills and excellent_noemailanizational skills. In addition, the candidate must have minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field of Christian Education and/or equivalent education and experience. A strong ability to connect with children and their families is a must and a Certified Christian Educator is a plus.

Salary is_noemailmensurate with education and experience. Modest reimbursement for relocation expenses is available.
