Job Description:
POSITION: Contemporary Worship Praise Leader (Part-time)
Faith United Methodist is searching for a dynamic music ministry leader to develop and
coordinate a new contemporary worship ministry. Faith UMC has a growing
congregation with three traditional services on Sunday, and will be adding a
contemporary service. Praise leader will be an integral part of the church's mission to
help people grow deeper in Christ and go farther for Christ.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the congregation in singing, praising, and engaging God's presence through
contemporary Christian music.
Develop, lead, and direct worship teams and worship leaders.
Recruiting, training, and developing the skills of the vocalists, musicians, and
worship team volunteers.
Create excitement and a we_noemailing environment to draw in new people from the
surrounding_noemailmunity.
Assisting with the planning and overseeing of seasonal productions and special events
such as concerts and musicals.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate spiritual maturity and a continual desire to personally grow in the
likeness of Jesus Christ.
Experience with local churches, and working with pastoral leadership.
Great team player, understanding the importance of working together and developing
trust within and between groups.
Possess strong administrative, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Gifted instrumentalist (pianist or guitarist preferable) and vocalist.
Experience in_noemailbining media technology and the fine/performing arts.
A Bachelor's degree in music is helpful but not required.
