Worship Leader Job - Christ Church, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

About the position:
Christ Church, in the Fort Lauderdale area, is seeking a worship leader for our praise services to lead our praise band, create worship experiences that grow and deepen our faith, and draw our congregation in to relationship with God and then out to serve. The tasks of this job are to recruit, lead, and schedule teams of musicians (both volunteer and paid), choose music and other creative elements for two weekly services (the same service held on Saturday evening and Sunday morning), and oversee the tech team for the services. This job also includes leading a small team of musicians for our Friday night Celebrate Recovery service. The creative opportunities for worship are without limit- we use music of all kinds, video, and drama to display God's creative heart. The position is well-resourced with great equipment, office space, and a part-time assistant to help with administrative tasks. In the past, this position served as department head for other worship staff. This responsibility is flexible during this transition.

About our church:
Christ Church Fort Lauderdale is a vibrant congregation of approximately 2,100 members with an active worshipping congregation of 1,600 in five worship services each weekend. Worship ranges from traditional to modern, and this position will be only responsible for our two praise services. Christ Church is led by four pastors, all passionate about their area of responsibility and excellent at what they do. Also on staff in the worship department are a choir director,_noemailanist, and pianist (for our traditional worship life), as well as an administrative assistant. God's vision for Christ Church is to introduce Jesus, grow faith, relieve suffering, and shape children. The church has an elementary school for children age 2 through 5th grade, so there are opportunities to lead young hearts in worship as well.
