Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, innovating and maintaining all activities relating to children and youth from 3 years to grade 12. The ideal candidate must be passionate about leading children, youth, and their parents to grow in Christ.
Essential Duties
Programs/Education
Plan and participate in monthly & summer K-5th grade activities
Coordinate quarterly events for preschool group
Involvement with confirmation class as needed for Youth; plan and_noemailanize fund raisers and budget
Prepare annual calendar of events; teach weekly Youth Sunday school
Lead Youth Group grades 6-12 each Sunday evening
Plan youth trips, fellowship events and service projects
Admin
Attend monthly CE meetings; provide monthly Youth page for newsletter
Publicize children and youth activities via e-mail, phone, Facebook, etc
Assist in recruiting and coordinating volunteers to assist.
Worship
Attend weekly worship services at Mt. Bethel
Schedule and plan for children/youth participation in certain Worship Services ie Rally Day, Children's Sabbath, etc.
Pastoral
provide for pastoral needs of children, youth and their families
Encourage youth to be supportive of each other and work together
Fellowship
Attend fellowship and/or service events in the church
Assist Outreach Committee with_noemailmunity outreach ministries ie Breakfast with St. Nick, Trunk or Treat, etc.
Education/Experience
Undergraduate degree in education, theology or related discipline preferred
Knowledgeable in the basics of Reformed Theology
Engaging teacher with strong Biblical background
Administrative,_noemailanizational and_noemailmunication skills necessary to perform job duties
Gifted and called to children's and youth ministry
Previous experience in children's and/or youth ministries preferred.
Initially position will be_noemailanized around 25 - 30 hours per week. It is the desire and plan of the church to expand the role to Full-Time (along with an appropriate expansion of pay and benefits) as the ministry grows. Initial salary package will be $25000 - $30000 with exact amount to be based on experience and negotiated by church and Minister. Any medical or life insurance, or pension plans desired will be deducted from gross salary.
