PASTOR OF WORSHIP
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide pastoral leadership to the worship of The Foundation Church. This position will enhance helping our people build an authentic relationship with Christ and one another.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The worship aspect of this position will be the "producer" of each worship service and other events. We are looking for an individual to serve as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
Commitment to moral purity.
Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of The Foundation Church
Demonstrated excellence as a worship leader, and worked in other areas of ministry within the church
Experience encouraged but willing to consider those who have not had experience in full time ministry.
ABILITIES:
A musician, ability to play guitar or keyboard
A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and the worship ministry.
Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a church in worship.
Skilled in_noemailanization, administration, and interpersonal relationships.
Skilled in the use of technology for worship services
A self-starter and a team player.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS:
Administration, Exhortation and Pastor/Shepherd
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession, and fellowship.
Spend time developing relationships with lost people so as to be personally effective in pursuing the Great Commission and helping the church to do the same.
Plan the corporate worship services of Foundation in consultation with the Senior Pastor and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness. Ensure that all the musical and technical aspects of the service advance the theme for the day. Oversee all aspects of our worship experience. Serve as lead worshiper in all worship services.
Oversee Worship budget,_noemailanization, and volunteers.
Build contacts and relationships with local musicians, studios, and clubs for both evangelistic and staffing purposes.
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary to enable the church to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
