Job Description:
Meadowbrook Church is seeking a person called and equipped by God to both lead the congregation in worship and direct those involved in the ministry of worship.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $28,000 - $32,000. In addition, we offer a benefits package that includes health insurance, an HSA, and a church-paid IRA.
Meadowbrook church is an evangelical non-denominational church located in a Wauwatosa, Wisconsin - a western Milwaukee suburb of older homes and stately trees. A great place to raise a family. Our mission: bring people to God by Telling them what he has done for them, Teaching them to b_noemaile his disciples, and helping them to experience the Transforming of their lives in loving Christian Community. We have three full time pastors on staff. Our Sunday morning attendance is about 450 people split between two worship services. Our congregation is multi-generational, with thriving children's and youth ministries. Our current annual budget is just under $600,000 for general operating expenses,$105,000 for missions
Our Philosophy of Worship:
Consistent with our purpose and values, Meadowbrook Church believes that worship is the appropriate response to God as he has revealed himself to us and is present with us. In corporate worship we gather as the people of God, the Body of Christ, and the temple of the Holy Spirit to offer the Triune God our praises, petitions, and gifts; and to receive from him his life-changing Word and ministry into our lives. While the focus of worship is God, the objective of the ministry of worship is to serve the congregation by enabling it to respond appropriately to God.
Primary Duties of the Worship Director:
~Implement the church's worship ministry according to our philosophy of worship
~Prepare the weekly order of service with the pastor(s) in accordance with the preaching theme, special programs, selection of songs, and input from the worship planning team
~Recruit and oversee all elements of the Worship Ministry, including musicians, vocalists, and technicians
~Encourage the spiritual growth and support of members of Worship Ministry
~Develop the gifts and talents of Worship Ministry Teams
~Develop the schedules of rehearsal for teams in the Worship Ministry
~Shepherd worship leaders to b_noemaile more effective in their ministry
~Develop key leaders equipping the Worship Director in his/her duties
~Manage the purchase and maintenance of all church-owned instruments and equipment
Qualifications:
~A growing disciple of Jesus Christ, practicing the disciplines of Bible reading,prayer,and personal worship
~Musical talents
~Training and experience in leading worship
~Strong leadership skills
~At ease in front of people
~Creativity
~Ability and experience in working with ministry leaders, pastors, and staff
~Able to receive direction from supervising pastor
