Would you like to help lead the renovation of a three-story building wing into a children, youth, and family ministry center (pending congregational approval in August)?

First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, Missouri, is a growing, downtown congregation with a vision for everyone connected to our church_noemailmunity to belong, believe, and b_noemaile a blessing in the name of Christ. We we_noemaile questions, believe that faith is meant to unite people rather than divide them, and seek to join God in loving and serving outside the walls of the church. Our multi-generational congregation worships in four different weekly services in a variety of styles. We are grateful for many years of nurturing children's ministry, risk-taking youth ministry, and an outstanding pre-school in our facilities. Last year we added a_noemailmunity center to our already-established food pantry in order to serve neighbors in need and allow church members to share their gifts in the loving spirit of Christ. We are seeking a full-time Family Ministry Director whose responsibilities will include:

* Oversight of all Family Ministry at First United Methodist Church (nursery, K-5th, mid-high youth, senior high youth, parents, intergenerational) and coordination with Methodist Early Learning Pre-School
* Equipping and implementation of specific areas within Family Ministry
* Outreach to, and engagement and care of, children, youth, and families
* Identification, recruitment, development, and supervision of paid and volunteer leaders and other people serving in the ministry
