Job Description:
The Korean Central Church of Pittsburgh (KCCP) is seeking a full-time English Ministry (EM) pastor who will lead and shepherd our growing English-speaking congregation. KCCP is_noemailprised of 500 KM and 50+ EM active members (EM is mostly_noemailprised of college and post-college students and young adults).
Located within walking distance from the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and other schools, KCCP EM offers a unique potential for Korean American and multi-ethnic college/young adult ministry. We are praying for a pastor who can challenge and lead our EM to the next level of growth in Christ.
Pittsburgh was recently honored by Forbes as the most livable city in the U.S. The city is enjoying a renaissance: a focus on higher education and medicine as a means of growth, a great cultural scene with theaters, museums and galleries, bike trails, professional sports teams, a neighborhood to fit any personality, and a low cost of living.
Essential responsibilities include:
Preaching and facilitating in Sunday worship services; leading weekly Bible study and small group leaders' training; pastoral care/counseling; plan, execute, and evaluate ministry events/programs/activities throughout the year; align ministry goals with KCCP's vision and goals; early morning prayer services.
Qualifications:
Master of Divinity degree or higher from an accredited seminary; fluent in English; minimum 3 years of experience in English ministry (youth, college, InterVarsity, or young adult); preferably ordained in Presbyterian background.
