Contemporary Worship Leader - Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia, we_noemailes resumes for the position of Contemporary Worship Leader. This position is primarily responsible for the leadership and development of the weekly contemporary worship service held at 11 a.m. each Sunday and leading a worship team consisting of a band and other media-related volunteers. Good Shepherd seeks an individual who is able to actively engage the congregation in worship so as to create an environment of experiencing the presence of God. The successful candidate will be able to work with volunteers and a music team of all levels of ability, to recruit new members of the worship team, and to incorporate media in active worship. Familiarity with operation of multimedia, sound equipment, and various musical instruments and equipment is required. This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) and requires experience in recent contemporary (emergent) worship leadership.
