Job Description:
1. Ministries
a. Enlist, develop, and sustain a group of adults to serve in the Bible study, discipleship and worship ministries for students.
b. Oversee, implement and coordinate the effective use of curriculum by developing a strategy involving scope, sequence and balance that provides a_noemailprehensive and relevant study of the Bible.
c. Provide various small groups, events, and opportunities for students to be discipled and grow in their relationship with Christ.
d. Work cooperatively with Associate Youth Minister, Youth Committee, students, and other adults to provide quality and relevant worship and evangelistic opportunities.
e. Provide leadership in student events such as camps, retreats, fellowships, concerts, etc.
f. Lead and challenge students, parents, and student ministry workers to participate in regular outreach and ministry to students (members and prospects).
g. Be involved in the lives of the students and provide recognition of their a_noemailplishments, providing encouragement and support to their activities and Christian lifestyle.
h. Visit students at home, work, and school.
i. Be visible and active at middle school and high school functions.
2. Administrative
a. Develop the youth budget and manage it within approved policies and procedures, working with the budget and finance_noemailmittee.
b. Cooperate with the other ministry areas in the development of the church calendar,_noemailmunications, and the use of church property.
c. Work with other groups in the church to involve the youth in church ministries, including but not limited to mission trips, church events, recreational activity, VBS.
d. Cooperate with other staff members in the development of events/calendar and_noemailmunication
3. General
a. Be a growing disciple of Jesus Christ and involved in professional development.
b. Cooperate with the local association, state convention, and national convention in keeping with the church mission, vision, core values, and doctrinal statements.
c. Participate in staff meetings, worship services, business meetings, hospital visits and other ministry related activities as requested.
