Director of Youth Ministry Job - Lifepath Church, Houston, Texas

Lifepath Church is a growing, 250 member congregation located in Houston, Texas. Our vision is to see our_noemailmunity embraced and changed by the love of Jesus Christ and we believe that a strong and vibrant Youth Ministry is a critical part of achieving that vision.

Position Summary: Spiritual and administrative leader of the Lifepath Youth Ministry, nurturing students in the areas of prayer, discipleship, worship and service.

Key duties and responsibilities:
*Plans and leads weekly events for junior and senior high students.
*Develops a student leadership team and assists them in setting and a_noemailplishing their leadership goals.
*Encourages and prioritizes the influence of the teen-parent relationship with the overriding goal of building strong families.
*Provides regular_noemailmunication to students and parents regarding student ministry news.
*Partners with Director of Children's Ministry to develop and implement an overall discipleship plan for children and teens, spanning early preschool through high school graduation.
*Provides spiritual nurture for students (inside and outside the congregation) by offering activities including, but not limited to, weekly small group Bible studies, large group fellowship activities, spiritual and recreational retreats, mission trips and local service opportunities.
*Is available to meet with students on an individual basis to provide prayer, spiritual support and counsel.
*Develops opportunities for college students and young adults for fellowship and spiritual growth.
*Seeks out opportunities for personal, professional, and spiritual growth and education.

Qualifications:
*A vocationally called person who is passionate about ministry with youth providing Christ-centered, Biblically-guided leadership for youth ministries, in the context of the mission and ministry of Lifepath Church.
*High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree and previous experience in youth ministry preferred.
*Effective_noemailmunication skills, both oral and written, are expected.
*Must have ability to assist in developing a youth ministry vision and to plan, develop, coordinate, manage and implement a youth ministry program.
*Computer/technology knowledge required.
*Must possess strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
*Initiative and motivation to undertake self-development activities and seek increased responsibility and persistence in ove_noemailing obstacles.

Salary and Desired Start Date:
*Salary will be_noemailmensurate with experience and proven leadership ability in youth ministry
*We desire the chosen applicant to begin ministry by June 1, 2013
