Job Description:
HOURS: Tuesday Friday (Salaried 24 hours per week)
Weekend hours may also be required depending on church
programs & events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a member in good standing of a local Church Organization
College graduate or equivalent work-related experience
Preferably five years experience as an Administrative Assistant
Must have adequate typing speed and skills
Transcribing experience is a plus
Strong_noemailputer skills are imperative (MS Windows, Word,
Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in the use of standard of office tools: scanner, fax and copy machine, etc.
Strong_noemailanizational skills
Have excellent_noemailmand of English_noemailposition and
punctuation
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Primary function is to oversee all activities of the Main Church Front
Office as well as providing support to Staff and Church Body Members,
including Pastoral Staff, Financial Secretary and Committee Members. This
person would report directly to the Senior Pastor and Department Manager.
CHURCH ADMINISTRAITIVE ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Ensure church office is open during scheduled hours Tuesday through Friday
Coordinate and maintain all church events and maintain the master calendar.
Maintain voicemail and greeting on church message machine
Schedule the use of facilities and equipment.
Provide administrative assistance to Pastoral Staff and church ministries.
Maintain all church records, files and data.
Produce mailings, weekly worship program and announcements, and other multi-media as needed.
Prepare:
o Annual book of reports
Maintain an accurate database for all active members and non-members.
o Assign new members to a deacon family ministry plan as they join
o Assign and distribute offering envelopes annually to all members and new members as they join.
o Forward need request to Senior Pastor.
Maintain accurate visitor database, send letters to visitors.
Keep the ACS software current and accurate and ensure that_noemailputer systems are adequately protected against viruses, worms and security breaches.
Oversee maintenance of church website
o Upload weekly sermons
o Upload special announcements as needed.
Attend all: staff, church council, and Body Life meetings.
Take out recycle bins
Printing:
o Yellow response card (as needed)
o Baptism certificates
o Print label and record sermon CDs
o Mail prayer lists to 4 home bound families
o Mail member transfer letters_noemailing in or moving letter
Track and post promotions of youth and children Sunday School
Perform other duties as directed by Senior Pastor.
