Job Description
The Pastor for Worship and Ministry is an Associate Pastor position that is Full Time Salaried Employee with accountability primarily to the Lead Pastor.
Objectives
The role of Associate Pastor oversees worship ministry and shares oversight and development of ministries, leading the body in worship during the Sunday celebration service. A member of the Elder Board and Advisory Board, the Associate Pastor helps to develop the vision and ministry of the church.
Responsibilities and Duties
Management
• Oversee_noemailmunication, including the website.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of_noemailputer and technology systems
• Ensure facility security
Ministry Oversight
• Partner with the Lead Pastor in executing the church vision and mission
• Assist in recruiting, training, supporting, and evaluating ministry leaders
• Encourage the development and growth of new and ongoing ministries
Worship Leadership
• Organize and lead worship, provide oversight and scheduling of the music and media ministries
• Work with the Lead Pastor regarding sermon topic, seasonal themes, and service style
• Lead regular rehearsals and training, recruit and train new musicians & media volunteers
• Expand and maintain music library and licensing requirements
• Manage budget and expenditures, equipment and instrument operations and maintenance
General Responsibilities
• Lead a Life Group and a Discipleship Group
• Attend weekly Staff meetings
• Participate in Annual Planning Meeting for ministry training, goals, and evaluation
• Shepherd the congregation and share teaching and preaching as needed and desired
• Participate in life and activities of church body.
Compensation and Benefits
• Salary
• New Parsonage or salary equivalent
• Two weeks paid vacation, three weeks after five years
• Health Reimbursement Account and Medical Reimbursement Plan

• Budget allowances for Conference, Education, Hospitality, Cell phone, and Mission Trip

• Bachelor degree, Master of Divinity preferred but not necessary for the right person
• Three years of related work or ministry experience desired
• Alignment with CCC Doctrinal Statement, theological compatibility with Lead Pastor
• Organized, gifted in pastoring/shepherding, and teaching ideal but not necessary
• Leader and Team Player
• Musically skilled and experienced in vocal and instrumental performance
• Proficient technology skills; familiar with media equipment
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in written forms
Personal
• Clear testimony of faith and devotion to Jesus Christ, His church, and His mission
• Consistent devotional life
• Evident Biblical qualities of an Elder
• Good steward of personal finances
