Job Title: Associate Minister
Minister Reports To: Senior Minister and the Elders
Position Status: Part Time-Salaried- (Up to 20 Hours per week-with additional hours for retreats and summer programs with youth)
Purpose:
The associate minister will assist the senior minister in the overall programming of the church, aid in special projects, and implement specific assignments by the Senior Minister and elders related to general pastoral activities including worship and children's ministry.
The associate minister is the minister of worship and children's ministry.
Worship:
Responsibilities include designing and leading blended worship services in conjunction with the senior pastor, including development of slides and use of multimedia. The worship leader will coordinate music and lead practices with the praise team and grow the music ministry..
Children's Ministry:
The associate minister will create and implement a_noemailprehensive children's ministry program that provides safe and inclusive environment for group building, spiritual growth, youth leadership development, and_noemailmunity service for children of all ages
Spiritual Requirements:
Must be a baptized (immersed) believer, who has repented of sin, and by the act of baptism (immersion) have b_noemaile united with Christ in the likeness of His death, burial & resurrection
(Luke 24:45-47; Acts 2:37 & 38; Acts 22:12-16; Romans 6:1-23; Galatians 3:25-27).
This individual must acknowledge the sovereign oneness of God (Exodus 20:3; Matthew 4:10; Matthew 22:36-38) and the uniqueness of Salvation through His one and Only Begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST, (John 3:16 & 17; John 14:6-11; I John 2:18-29)
Conduct:
As an Associate Minister, he is to fulfill the roles of shepherd, teacher, and representative of this congregation. He will minister (evangelize, disciple, counsel) to people, training them in the spiritual disciplines through programming, visitation, and example.
Educational Requirements:
At a minimum, the candidate should have a Bachelor of Arts (or near_noemailpletion), with a focus or accreditation in ministry and worship
Experience with small churches preferred
Responsibilities:
General:
Must be grounded in the Word of God and meet the membership requirements of the by-laws.
Set as a guideline of personal behavior the standard required in I Timothy 3:1-7, 2 Timothy 4:1-5, and I Peter 5:1-4.
Meet regularly with the senior minister, elders, and staff for planning, evaluating and coordinating the ministries of the church.
Work with the Senior Minister, appropriate_noemailmittees and other staff members in seeking needed new members
Worship:
Music:. Lead the Sunday morning worship service(s)-Choose songs
Arrange music, skits, videos, etc.
Organize special programs
Work closely with the Senior Minister in developing a seamless worship experience
Coordinate worship teams, coordinate special music
Coordinate with technical ministries. (slides, sound, lights, etc.)
Function as a "back up" for delivering sermons and/or Sunday School lessons
Children's Ministry:
Encourage youth in developing their relationship with God
Provide youth with opportunities for nurturing relationships with others and personal growth
Challenge youth to respond to God's call to serve in their_noemailmunities and world
Attend and participate in church meetings
Communicate to staff, senior minister, and elders about children/youth ministry
Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the children/youth ministry program
Coordinate the recruitment, training, support, and evaluation of volunteers
Create age-appropriate variety of materials, formats, settings, and timeframes for lessons
Maintain resources (print, video, speakers, etc.) for effective programming
Provide appropriate training for the adult volunteers and young people in leadership positions
Organize youth events or retreats
Teach Sunday school and other educational activities as needed
Develop and maintain effective relationships with various leaders in the_noemailmunity for purposes of outreach programs
Physically able to participate in youth activities such as camps, mission trips etc.
Possess familiarity with Christian education curriculum and program design

The primary purpose of this congregation shall be to fulfill the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:19 & 20,
A secondary purpose involves equipping the saints to do the work of ministry, thus building up the body of Christ and attain unity in the Faith and knowledge of the Son of God
