Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Children's and Youth Ministry at Good Shepherd UMC in Waldorf, MD The position is 30 hours a week to include Sundays. Duties include engaging and equipping volunteers to lead in the education and discipleship of our children and youth. Leading youth in a mission mindset is also central to this position. The ideal candidate will be a person of faith who feels a call from God to work with children and youth and who has training and experience with children and youth. About Good Shepherd United Methodist Church:

We are a suburban church in Southern Maryland about 20 miles from D.C. Our community is very diverse and we are seeking to have a congregation that more fully reflects that community. In addition to our worshipping body, we have an Education Center with children ages 2-Pre-K.  

Qualifications:

Bachelor's preferred
Experience with children and youth
Ministry experience a plus
