Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Lead Minister, the Worship Minister is a full time, exempt, salaried, ministry staff position who provides leadership to the worship and production teams. This role leads and facilitates all worship services and special programs. The Worship Minister will coordinate all service details in alignment with the theme and overall direction established by the Lead Minister. This role is not expected to be on stage every week, but rather on stage as needed and invested in the production and presentation of the worship experience. Key responsibilities for this position include:
Plan and direct corporate worship services of Lakeside Christian Church under the leadership of the Lead Minister.
Coordinate all aspects of the worship ministry to function together cohesively.
Develop strategies to engage the broader community through special concerts, seasonal programs, outreach events, weddings, funerals, or collaborative projects with local artists.
Organize and lead weekly rehearsals for vocalists, instrumentalists, and other participants to ensure smooth and polished services.
Create opportunities for gifted individuals to serve. Along with the Creative Arts Director, identify talent and work to recruit, audition, teach, and train production volunteers, musicians, and vocalists to serve the congregation as a team with skill and humility.
Create music charts and tracks to guide the band and vocal teams.
Oversee online streaming presence and cultivate our growing online worship community.
Provide spiritual leadership, coaching, teaching and mentorship to worship and production team members, encouraging their personal growth and commitment to serving through music.
Manage worship budgets, maintain song databases, and handle other administrative duties related to the worship ministry.
Ensure good communication and collaboration across entire ministry.
Understand and fully utilize worship technology tools.
Perform other duties as needed to benefit the mission of the church.
