The Position:
Risen Son Southern Baptist Church (RSSBC) is looking for someone who has received the call to serve students, their families, and the church. This is a full time position and duties are detailed below:
Associate Pastor duties are (but not limited to):
Primarily Headmaster of the Risen Son Christian School (RSCS), which includes curriculum & educational planning, administration, day-to-day operations
Development and growth of school operations
Supports the Senior Pastor in planning, implementing and teaching the vision & ministry
Provide biblical counseling, prayer & ministry to people
The Ideal Candidate:
One who satisfies the Biblical qualifications for the office of elder
Devotes his time to prayer, the ministry of the Word and shepherding God's flock
Will provide effective Biblical leadership to facilitate and continue our pattern of excellence and growth at both RSSBC and RSCS.
Possess strong communication skills and take on an appropriate sense of ownership for the organization

Required Qualifications:
Exhibit a clear Christian testimony and walk with Christ
Must demonstrate preaching and teaching gifts
Proficient in administration, leadership, teaching responsibilities
Must be able to reach and connect with students, staff, and the community
Must be a self-starter, able to anticipate needs without oversight
Able to focus on the tasks at hand and have sufficient follow-through
Preferred Qualifications:
An Associates Degree in Biblical studies
Strong communication abilities, both written & oral
Strong team builder and recruiter
