Job Description:
Christ Church is a 10-year-old multi-site church in Volusia County, Florida. We have a high percentage of young families with kids under 18, constituting nearly 30% of our congregation. We reach over 1200 people each Sunday in three in-person and two live-stream services. We are passionate about Jesus and his mission to transform our world. We exist to help people implement their identity, engage in the purpose, and create_noemailmunity.
We are seeking a high-energy, outgoing,_noemailanized, and positive person to help us administrate and scale our growing church. We are looking for the right person to join our self-motivated staff. Alignment with our mission, culture, and methodology is essential.
The ideal candidate for the Church Administrator position should have some previous church experience and/or a background in management, finances, and facilities and a proven track record of supervising people.
This position requires the ability to clearly_noemailmunicate in writing and verbally the church’s policies, financial position, and operational and facility issues with small and large groups. Must also be able to work effectively with others, including staff and volunteers.
The position requires a broad knowledge of_noemailanizational operations and the ability to identify areas that need improvement. Applicants should have adequate technological experience to propose solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Proficiency with database management systems (Planning Center) and mass_noemailmunication systems (Pastors Line) is required.
This is a full-time position (5 days per week) Monday through Thursday, 9a-4p and Sunday, 7a-2p—plus one weekday evening. Fridays and Saturdays are typically off with exceptions, in which case the day off can shift.
Description:
The Church Administrator manages our_noemailanization’s people, events, and programs and develops systems to improve scalability as we grow. The CA is responsible for all data entry and management from guests, members, and donations. The CA receives and responds to all i_noemailing and outgoing_noemailmunication (phone, email, Facebook messages, etc) and creates workflows to ensure proper execution of the required action by the appropriate staff person or volunteer. The CA serves as the face and voice of Christ Church and will often be the first personal contact for those we serve. Therefore, the CA should be positive, energetic, kind, a good listener, and eager to help.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial Management: Weekly donation count and recording, vendor payments (when necessary), benevolence processing, coordinating with a bookkeeper, assisting members with giving inquiries (setting up recurring giving, statements, etc.).
Event Planning/Oversight: Easter, VBS, Christmas, Fall Festival, funerals, weddings, special events registrations, building usage requests, etc.
Facility Management: Coordinate with cleaners and the facility coordinator for cleaning schedules, tables/chairs setup, open/closed, etc. Pest control. Fire Safety System. Coordinate with the Tech Director for AVL needs. Coordinate and manage facility usage—phone, power, dumpster, septic, etc.
Volunteer Supervision & Staff Coordination: schedule volunteer teams and host team (we_noemaile desk goals-leaders, trainers, etc.), ordering, schedule and oversee host teams, integrate volunteers into PC Services app, respond to volunteer team leaders’ requests and offer support, print volunteer name tags.
Communication: church calendar management, events calendar for web, weekly newsletter, email, social media, phone, text, print, appointment requests, update information on website as needed, use Canva to create/update graphics for_noemailmunications (registration events, social, newsletter, etc).
Database Management: Discuss ways to improve quality—maintain database profiles, PC Groups management for activity, Membership status, Campus selection, and Baptism recording.
Administrative tasks: Record Weekly Attendance, Maintain staff PTO info, Maintain office supply inventory, kitchen supplies, water/drinks, prepare all connect cards for follow-up, send we_noemaile emails to guests, prepare guest gift bags. Coordinate with vendors for the design of printed marketing material (banners, connect cards, posters, etc), weekly prayer requests, provide administrative support to the connections director, and coordinate benevolence requests. Document procedures and policies as needed (Example: baptism process, Campus Key usage policy, ODCN, benevolence policy.)
Campus liaison: Communicate with each campus host and lead volunteers of scheduled events, provide support as needed with volunteer schedules, purchase needed supplies, and help integrate new volunteers.
Starting salary range is $48-53k based on experience.
