Job Description:

Olivet Baptist Church in the Honolulu area is looking for a full-time Business Administrator to follow Jesus' call to service. The OBC Business Administrator will be a servant leader, living out in exemplary ways the call, character, and competencies of a dedicated follower of Jesus. This position would be responsible for providing effective and efficient oversight of church office activities including, but not limited to, financial management, personnel management, and facility management. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an extensive knowledge in accounting, the ability to prioritize, organize, and have experience with supervision and committee work.

Primary Responsibilities:

+Supervise office and facility staff including outside contractors providing oversight, assistance, and coordination in the daily operations of the church office and facilities.
+Manage the accounting and finance activities, including, but not limited to, preparing financial reports and budgets, ensuring compliance with internal accounting controls, and ensuring tax forms are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
+Maintain personnel records, personnel policies, vacation and leave requests, and job descriptions for church employees, including preschool employees.
+Coordinate payroll and benefits with external third-party firm for accurate and timely submissions.
+Assure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
+Oversee the purchase of supplies for the church and office.
+Manage and maintain all insurance policies, vendor relationships, maintenance agreements, and legal documents.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
+Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting.
+Five (5) years of Office Management or similar experience.
+Working knowledge of accounting principles.
+Experience in human resources activities.
