CHURCH BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR
Bethel Christian Fellowship

Position Title: Business Administrator
Reports To: Executive Pastor
Position Status: Full-time Regular - Exempt

Principle Function

To assist the church in carrying out its mission by leading the planning and implementation of effective financial and business operations to achieve its goals.


Specific Responsibilities

Financial

Leads and coordinates the preparation of the annual budget.
Manages and maintains the cash-flow position of the church to meet obligations.
Oversees all accounting practices in the receipt, deposit, and disbursement of church funds.
Establishes and maintains an efficient plan of financial record keeping and reporting.
Prepares financial information for the church treasurer and elders.
Serves as church purchasing agent; approves and processes requisitions and purchase orders; maintains vendor relationships.
Oversees payroll for all employees.
Evaluates insurance needs and r_noemailmends changes as needed.
Obtains and assists with an annual audit or review of financial records.

Personnel

Supervisors assigned office personnel.
Maintains all church personnel records.
Develops (with the elders) and administers personnel policies and procedures.
Administers the employee benefits program.


Legal

Ensures_noemailpliance with all applicable government regulations and requirements.
Serves as resource person regarding legal and business matters.

Other Duties

Provides oversight to suppliers of_noemailmunication technology, inte_noemail, and database management systems.
Serves on church leadership teams and participates in monthly meetings.

Qualifications:

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business, finance/accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
A committed, mature Christian that maintains a personal walk with the Lord through Bible study and prayer.
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and management skills.
Knowledge of computer systems and software to include Word, Excel, and church management or other financial reporting and accounting software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
