Summary Statement:
The person that serves in this position will manage the daily financial business of Northminster Presbyterian Church (NPC). As an important member of the NPC staff team, the Church Finance Administrator will assist with budgeting, provide financial reporting and administer employee benefits. The position will work closely with the Head of Staff and several NPC_noemailmittees including the Finance Committee, Church Treasurer, Personnel Committee, Stewardship Committee and Trustees, the Northminster Foundation, and the Northminster Preschool. This is an important position for the financial health and future vision of our thriving church.
Reports to: Head of Staff and Finance Committee
General Responsibilities:
1.  Manage Church finances, financial records, deposits and disbursements
2.  Budgeting
o   Prepare financial reports for church, Foundation and Preschool
o   Assist Finance Committee with budgeting and financial forecasts
o   Attend Finance Committee meetings
3.  Employee Benefits
o   Administer payroll
o   Contract for and administer insurance programs
o   Administer other employee benefits
4.  Stewardship
o   Oversee volunteers who work in office on finances and counting donations
o   Serve as resource for Stewardship Team
5.  Additional Tasks
o   Assist Church Foundation and Pre-School as needed
o   Monitor_noemailpliance with Church policy and government regulations in areas of responsibility
o   Other duties as assigned
Hours: Part-time, non-exempt position, 20-24 hours per week with flexible scheduling (the church office is open Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; closed Fridays).
Salary Range: $20-25 per hour,_noemailmensurate with experience.

Qualifications: Significant bookkeeping experience and 5 years in the field of church financial management or 4-5 years working in a nonprofit environment; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; detail oriented; strong organizational skills; experience working with large database systems and Microsoft Excel; accounting and employee benefits administration experience highly desirable.
