Overview:
Hope Community Church is a thriving 15 year-old church with 500+ weekly attendees and a leadership team committed to kingdom building through involvement in missions, mission trips and planting churches. Hope Community has planted 6 churches since its inception (2 domestic, 4 international – Peru(2), India, Iraq). Hope is now looking for a Pastor who will take the lead in their 7thchurch plant located in North Valley or Carson City, NV. This church plant will be done in partnership with Hope Community Church.
Lead Pastor:
Church planting can be the most fulfilling and yet the hardest task for a pastor to successfully complete. The ideal Pastor candidate will receive financial, technical and spiritual support from Hope Community and Passion for Planting. However, you must also be able to fundraise and develop this church independently. To lead a thriving church plant, you must bring energy and enthusiasm and be able to successfully communicate your vision so that people will commit financially and spiritually to being a partner in this church plant.
It is imperative that through prayer and much soul searching, you believe that God is leading you down the path to this challenge and that you have full spousal support to take on this endeavor.
Qualifications:
Have put your faith in Jesus and have been baptized
Continually pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus
Must have a 4 year college degree (seminary not necessary)
Must have previous experience in ministry (pastor)
Must believe you are being called to plant a church
Have a desire to plant a church in an area that is currently being underserved
Pre-plant Responsibilities:
Develop a vision and core values for the church to be planted
Develop fundraising plan for church plant
Develop the essential infrastructure for a successful church plant (salaried ministry staff/volunteers)
Research and secure a location for the church plant (name to follow)
Develop vision for worship and church ministries
Post-launch Responsibilities ;
Responsible for leading the staff and church in all areas to provide successful worship services
Be able to communicate to the partners the vision for the future to insure continued financial support for the church
Hiring will be contingent on background check and church planter assessment.
