Director of Children, Youth, & Family Ministry Job - Christ Community Lutheran Church, Columbia, Illinois

Christ Community Lutheran Church is in the small town (10,000 people) of Columbia, IL which is just a stone's throw from St. Louis, MO. You can be at a Card's or Blue's game in less than 20 minutes! Christ Community has been serving God in this area for 30 years through outreach programs, feeding the hungry in shelters as well as our Servants Garden which provides fresh produce for local food pantries from our own land. We have a great facility as a home base for worship, education, fellowship and discipleship, but we are committed to reaching beyond our walls out into the community. With a great number of young families and young people in our midst, we are committed to ministering to our children, youth and families so that faith is passed along and discipleship is built to last a lifetime.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Love of children, youth, and their families.
2. A strong and active Christian faith.
3. Familiarity and comfort with (or a willingness to learn and respect) the core beliefs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America which at its heart is the conviction that we are saved by grace through faith.
4. Previous experience and/or related experience with youth and family ministry (i.e. church work, outdoor ministry, campus ministry, or other relevant forms).
5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
