Job Description:

Good Shepherd UMC is seeking a full-time Director of Music and Worship Arts to be responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the traditional music program, inclusive of direction and resourcing of Chancel Choir, vocal ensembles, Bell Choirs, Orchestra and Children's Choirs. All of these groups are volunteers. The Director reports directly to and works with the Sr. Pastor in Worship planning. The successful candidate will have an understanding and appreciation of a wide spectrum of worship styles and music as our congregation_noemailes from many differing Christian backgrounds. At a minimum, candidates must have professional experience in choral direction and have_noemailpleted a college degree program with a Bachelor's degree or higher. Proficiency at piano and/or degree in Music/Fine Arts a plus!

Good Shepherd is an evangelical United Methodist Church with over 1800 members in Cypress, Texas, a NW suburb of Houston. We are located in one of the most rapidly growing sections of the Houston Metropolitan area and are currently constructing a new worship facility to better meet the needs of the_noemailmunities around us.
