Job Description:
Position Summary: The Director of Worship Ministries plays a key role in our_noemailanization and will work closely with the Senior Pastor, Technical Arts Director, and other worship staff to create impactful and life changing experiences. The Director oversees all services and opportunities that gather for worship inside and outside our church. The Director should have a passion for leading people into the presence of God through worship and has experience leading modern and contemporary worship in a medium to large size church. In addition to being a highly skilled musician and leader, the Director needs to be able to care for and disciple a group of volunteers and staff,_noemailanize and lead the worship ministry, be well versed in a variety of worship and music styles, and help lead the church in authentic worship that puts the spotlight on Jesus and not on any one individual.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates excellence in worship: prayerfully planned, thoroughly rehearsed, and skillfully presented.
• Drives the planning,_noemailanizing, and leading of multiple worship services each weekend ranging from traditional to contemporary including but not limited to
- Works with and guides church leadership on the selection of music
- Preparing music for vocalists and band members
- Schedules musicians and vocalists
- Works with Technical Arts Director and worship staff to create impactful worship experience
- Coordinates lyrics, videos, and dramas with the worship and technical arts teams
- Works with existing teams to supplement music with other forms of worship such as drama, videos, dramatic readings, etc. to broaden the reach of the worship experience
- Leads worship on weekends and during special events (e.g. Christmas Eve and Ash Wednesday services)
• Drives planning and_noemailanizing of special events that may include choir and orchestra
- Enlists new musicians and volunteers
- Helps identify and prepare music
- Oversees and facilitates volunteer leaders of choir and orchestra during special events
• Oversees and continues to develop the Grace Deaf Ministry program
• Oversees worship ministries including managing paid staff and volunteers, budgeting, and purchasing items for worship ministry needs.
• Supports church leadership in promoting the church’s vision and mission
• Actively and consistently recruits, develops, motivates, and manages teams of volunteers and paid staff, including providing pastoral care to those who serve
• Supports staff members in other music ministry activities such as music for preschool chapel, children’s programs, Vacation Bible School, youth group, missions, outreach events, and special events
• Supports the development of outreach including developing satellite campuses
• Attends trainings that will inspire opportunities to enhance our worship
• Assists with pastoral responsibilities
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

• Excellent musician with performance and worship leader skills

• Experienced in and_noemailfortable with a variety of worship styles
• Knowledge of click tracks and Aviom systems
• Has a heart to lead and serve others in worship through song
• Humble spirit
• Eagerness to learn
• Demonstrates strength in leadership and team building
• Willingly gives and receives constructive feedback, even in u_noemailfortable situations
• Strong interpersonal / relational skills
• Thinks broadly and creatively, willing to explore new ways of reaching people
• Has a “get it done” and “how can I help” attitude
