THE SCOPE OF THE POSITION INCLUDES:
Oversee the front office of the church, greeting all guests/ visitors and answer calls/ check voicemail
Ordering for the church administration needs and manage inventory.
Filing, data entry, receive and sort mail, check church email and distribute to staff
Create materials for events and Sunday Services, including the bulletin handouts and weekly Constant Contact newsletter.
Report printing as needed
Respond to facility rental inquiries and coordinate payments
Oversee our NextSteps table, flows (processes), and communications to congregants and leaders.

Excels at communication and interpersonal skills
Has a friendly demeanor but is also comfortable greeting various guests who sometimes include homeless seeking aid, solicitors, and other potentially uncomfortable scenarios. Is able to handle conflict in a healthy, diplomatic, yet confident manner.
Enjoys collaborative ministry and thrives in a team setting.
Experience with Google Drive products, Gmail, Office suite products, and is able to quickly learn new software. Experience with Connecteam and ChurchSuite a plus, but not required.
Is reliable and comfortable working alone or in a large team setting.
Possesses administration and organization skills/experience.
Is able to be trustworthy and confidential regarding various prayer requests, private conversations, and other confidential information.
POSITION PROFILE
We are looking for someone who can be the welcoming face of the church during the week, and take on much of the daily tasking needs pertaining to church administration. This position will oversee the all the needs of the front office including ordering, liaison to visitors, and distribute various kinds of communications to the other staff. Data Entry will be required, as will a confidential distribution of prayer requests and other communications.
Selected candidate will be able to:
Learn the software required for the job, and take over management of the data entry processes.
Check mail and voicemail and distribute to appropriate staff.
Collaborate with our team to refine existing procedures and innovate where improvements are useful.
Provide a consistent presence for the staff and church visitors
Be able to articulate calendar details, admin processes, and other inquiries
Assist with the facility rental inquiries and be a liaison between the renter and the staff
Be adaptable as each day is a little different
POSITION STRUCTURE: Part Time – Hourly
Direct Reports to Operations Manager
Schedule 9am-3pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
BENEFITS & SALARY: Alfac discounts, 2 annual therapy sessions with MFT offered upon request. Two weeks vacation, some holidays off. 5 annual paid sick days. Salary is $18.50-20.50 DOE.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Entry Level Position but experience is preferred. Able to train.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
