Responsibilities:
1. Lead & teach the Youth Group on Sunday mornings, 3 Wednesday nights per month, Summer Camp, and any event you envision.
3. Oversee the children's ministry department (we have a Children's Director and volunteers)
4. Preach in the pastor's stead / fill the pulpit at least 5 times per year
5. Oversee the Bible Club team; our mission is to be actively reaching the homes of those children. Currently Bible Club has 30 un-churched children participating.
6. Participate in church life
7. Be involved in family's lives, both parents and students
8. Send out quarterly reports to the church for the 3 ministries (Student, Kids, & Bible Club)
9. Bonus: if you have any musical talent! :)
10. Manage a ministry budget
11. Help pastor reach the local college kids.
12. Be mentored by the pastor in all areas of church ministry.

The church--with it's large blue metal roof---can be seen from certain overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Western Carolina's campus is just 20 min away in Sylva; we are actively pursuing ministry on our regional college campuses.

Must meet all criteria for a pastor/elder/overseer from the Apostle Paul to Timothy and Titus (1 Tim.3; Titus 1)
Must be a man of prayer and worship who loves the Lord, His Word, His Church, and the Lost
Must be male / single or married
Must have a passion for the Kingdom of God and seeing people discipled in Christ
Education: we prefer a minimum of Bachelors Degree, but will not dismiss a candidate who has the calling, gifting, and passion for this ministry.
Experience: minimum of 2 years in ministry (part time, bi-vocational, or full time).
A very strong work ethic and self-starter with vision for this ministry and a drive to see it thrive for God's glory! (...yet while also knowing how to enjoy Sabbath rest; this is NOT a 9 to 5, clock-punching job; it is a calling)
