Minister of Music/Director of Music Job - Hillside Intl Truth Center, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia

Hillside International Truth Center, a New Thought spiritual_noemailmunity in Atlanta, GA, is seeking to hire a Minister of Music to join our team and to lead the Hillside Music Ministry that includes praise teams, choirs, and various other music programs. The primary purpose of the Music Ministry at Hillside is to glorify GOD in music by proclaiming the Principles of Truth and the Ancient Wisdom teachings as taught by Jesus the Christ. This is done by enhancing the congregation's sense of celebration in worship and services. The Music Ministry helps to nurture the totality of our individual and corporate experience of GOD in Spirit, mind and body.

Status: Salaried
Supervisor: Executive Bishop
Compensation: Negotiable and based upon schedule/experience
Schedule: Full-time desired; will consider Part-time. Minimum 20- 25 hours per week.
Start Date: August to September 2021

Qualifications / Skills / Responsibilities
Spiritual Maturity: A relationship with GOD, a strong spiritual foundation, and an openness to learn and grow spiritually. A passion for worship and a vibrant prayer life. An understanding and openness to the New Thought theology and Hillside's metaphysical approach to practical Christianity. Personal integrity, self-motivation and time management skills.

Education: Preferred minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in Music Ministry.

Worship Experience: Musically gifted and trained to use instrumentation in leading the worship service. Proficient and adept on the keyboard and_noemailan, can read music and play by ear. Experience in_noemailanizing traditional and contemporary style worship. Experience in mentoring and developing music teams, worship leadership and musical gifts and talents in others. A good understanding of music theory and knowledge of music production.

Leadership: The ability to provide leadership, development and accountability to the Music Ministry. Willing and able to delegate responsibility as needed. Ability to recruit others and lead. Lifelong learner in ministry trends and leadership. Leader with a solid work ethic, possessing a musical passion. Strong_noemailmunication (written and oral),_noemailanization and teamwork skills.

Able to pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.

Specific Duties:
Develop and plan with assistance from the church leadership by learning the worship culture and theology of Hillside, the vision of the Executive Bishop, and the gifts of the volunteers in the Music Ministry.
Work with the Executive Bishop in developing creative worship services using any and all available resources to enhance the overall impact and faithfulness of the service.
Work closely with the media team regarding all audio and visual needs.
Oversee the planning and direction of annual Christmas, Easter and Anniversary presentations, and other special worship service events.
Lead and direct the music teams in preparation for services and special musical presentations.
Establish a rehearsal schedule for choirs, instrumentalists, and musicians and praise team members.
Participate fully in the life and activities of Hillside.
Coordinate and empower others to assist in the music ministry as needed.
