OPERATIONS MANAGER Women's Addiction Recovery Ministry Full Time
Job Description
Oversees day-to-day operation of residential recovery ministry in rural Southeast Alaska, under the supervision of the Board of Directors. Provides direct services for women according to their individual recovery plan. Relocation to Prince of Wales Island, southeast Alaska required.
Responsibilities
Operations 50% Time
Lead team-driven planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services
Respond to referrals of prospective clients
Recruit, interview, check references and select employees and volunteers
with Board of Directors approval
Provide orientation, training and evaluation for employees and volunteers
Participate in fundraising activities in collaboration with Marketing Director
Direct Service 40% Time
Collaborate with recovery team to develop recovery plans
Model and train skills identified in individual recovery plans
Oversee implementation of Client Handbook
Assign duties to clients and provide feedback on performance
Maintain medication protocols
Maintain documentation and manage client files
Facilitate access to a range of resources
Support Board of Directors 10%
Prepare meeting agendas and supporting materials for Board meetings
Attend Board meetings
Assist Finance Committee to prepare_noemailprehensive operating budget
Provide regular budget reports
Qualifications
Associates degree in Human Services or related field experience preferred or in progress.
Maintain an authentic and growing personal walk with Jesus Christ
Familiar with addiction and recovery process and a passion for walking
people through discipleship process associated with recovery
Competency in_noemailputer skills; Word, Excel, Email, Inte_noemail
Comfortable with rural living
Provide three references from home church pastor and two others
Abilities
Primary focus on discipleship
Provide practical skills training in a range of areas and evaluate progress
toward recovery goals
Assist in initial skills assessment, implement action items in the Individual
Recovery Plan;

Maintain and manage necessary documentation and provide required
paperwork
Demonstrate and model enthusiasm, patience,_noemailanization, maturity,
dependability as well as encourage initiative and independence

Compensation
Annual salary $30K plus free on-site housing and moving expenses negotiable with this position

Eagles Wings Ministries is located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, population 6,000. The culture is seasonal and subsistence oriented. There is a paved road system linking several villages but travel to the island is by ferry or float plane. Eagles Wings is a non-profit para-church led and staffed by mature Christ-followers. We desire to advance the mission of Eagles Wings Ministries as a practical way to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. In an extended stay residential setting, our ministry exists to launch women in crisis into new life through a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ, and to equip them for life serving others.
