Evangelical Church of Peace, a rural church with primitive facilities and 138-yr history seeks bi-vocational male pastor. The church's address is 3272 County Road 249, Brownsville, MN; mail is received at PO Box 104, Brownsville, MN 55919. We are a Christian Community Church, with members from Lutheran, Catholic, Evangelical Free, Baptist, United Church of Christ, Charismatic, and Independent backgrounds. What binds the small but diverse congregation together is our mutual reverence for the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and our like reverence for the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and eternal Word. We currently have attendance of 40-50+ at one Sunday morning service, with an Adult Bible Study 1 hour prior to the service. There is a limited Sunday School ministry and no youth program. Normal pastoral ministry work is 8-10 hours per week, on-call as needed. Our Statement of Beliefs and membership requirements are available upon request. Candidate must be willing to submit to FBI background check and possess or have ability to obtain State of Minnesota pastoral credentialing. Seminary or Bible College degree preferred (B.Th., B.S., or M.Div.), but each candidate will be considered on his own merits.
