Job Description:
Mount Shiloh Baptist Church is a small church located in beautiful Faber Virginia. We are looking for a part-time (could quickly become a full-time position dependent on growth of membership and contributions) salaried pastor who possesses strong preaching skills, a heart for serving others, and the ability to lead the church. This pastor will cast a vision and lead our congregation, including, but not limited to, providing spiritual guidance, biblical preaching, Christ centered worship services, accountability and outreach.
Our pastor will be responsible for weekly sermons, as well as additional responsibilities as they arise (weddings, baptisms, etc). Our church is an established (since 1833) church with a wonderful facility located in Faber Virginia. In addition to a large sanctuary, there are classrooms, offices, a large fellowship area, kitchen facilities, play areas for children, a large covered outdoor area with fireplace, as well as several acres of beautiful grounds.
The right candidate will be experienced, relational, competent, good with details and have prior knowledge and experience overseeing and leading ministries, groups, outreach, and service opportunities. Strong focus to be placed on engaging the community and building membership.
Mount Shiloh Baptist Church is comprised of approximately 20-30 people who have enthusiastically embraced God's leading to engage a process of rebirth to ensure a productive future and be more effective in reaching its community.
Our new pastor should possess a God given passion for church renewal and community outreach.
Candidate should be able to develop a vision and clear strategy for replanting/revitalization/renewing a small community church, plan both short-term and long-term projects, identify project goals and set timelines for achieving these goals.

Time commitment- 20 hrs/week
Annual salary - TBD
Minimum 5 years prior experience in vocational ministry
Education - Bible College or Seminary Training
