Church of the Living Word (CLW), a small non-denominational church in Hampton Iowa, is actively searching for a Pastor to partner with our church family to show Jesus to our community, country and world. The words of Jesus from Acts 1:8, "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" have guided our mission and ministry throughout CLW's 14 years of service in the kingdom.
To help us continue on this course, our church family is seeking an individual that desires to help equip this body through Spirit-filled teaching and Biblical preaching from God's unchanging Word. We believe in solid Bible teaching with application to current life situations and circumstances.
Relationships are very important to the body of believers at CLW. We are looking for someone to join us in being authentic with one another and obedient to the Lord's leading through the Holy Spirit. We seek an individual that will help us develop future leaders for CLW and the kingdom by identifying individual and corporate giftings and encouraging us to use them in accordance with the direction of the Spirit.
Small group, family ministry and mission outreach have been key elements of CLW's mission and will be vital to casting vision for our future. We desire to expand our small group opportunities with an emphasis on family ministry within our body and the community.
We believe in a missional emphasis that equips and empowers believers to grow in knowledge and truth for the purpose of reaching outside the body to expand the kingdom for Christ. CLW is located in an ethnically diverse community with a growing Hispanic population and would like to expand our ministry to a wider group of people within our city. Our church meets regularly in a former school building and offers it as a resource to our community in a variety of ways and desires to continue to expand its use as a blessing to this community. Internationally, CLW has been part of missions in Haiti, Nicaragua and other countries and maintains ongoing and personal relationships with several organizations.
The ultimate goal of CLW is to glorify God through studying the Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and reaching out to show the love of Christ in this world. Please prayerfully consider whether the Lord is directing you to join with CLW in this ministry and mission. Below are links to CLW's beliefs and mission statement.
