Job Description:
Position Summary: Christ Fellowship Church is a Methodist/Wesleyan established congregation in Magee, MS. In June of 2023, we disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church. Currently seeking a full-time pastor called by God who lives and leads based on Scripture and is grounded in tradition.
Pastor's Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary preacher of the Gospel and Worship leader with a consistent pulpit presence in morning Sunday services.
* Establish, protect, and guide the vision and mission of Christ Fellowship Church in consultation with church leadership and staff.
* Visit members of the church family to minister to their needs, with special focus on those who need spiritual counsel or guidance and those who are ill, homebound, in nursing homes, or in hospitals.
* Oversee the administration of the ordinances of baptism,_noemailmunion, missions, and church membership.
* Lead Wednesday night service/Bible study.
* Supervise, evaluate, and advise the church ministry staff and ministry volunteers through weekly office hours and adherence to the policies of the church.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Administrative Council.

* Calling: One who is called by God to minister to both His church and the unchurched. A person who promotes community involvement, outreach, and coordination with local churches. 1 Peter 5:1-3
* Commitment: A servant leader who is devoted to the Word and leads in accordance with Scripture. 2 Timothy 4:1-5
* Capabilities: Proven leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to promote the vision of Christ Fellowship Church who can relate to people of all ages and walks of life. Ability to communicate the Church's vision, inspire others, manage and develop staff, ministry leaders, and church members to their fullest potential. Ephesians 4:11-13
