Pastor of Student Ministries
Job Description:
The pastor of Student Ministries is a full-time pastoral position that will shepherd students, grades 7th-12th and their families, at Community Bible Church. We are seeking a candidate who is a self-starter, creative, energetic and has a heart for youth
Job Functions
Implement the vision set forth by the Elders of CBC for Student Ministries.
Lead a team of volunteers in the operation of youth ministries, including weekly services and recurring special events.
Direct the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers as needed to staff weekly programs and special events.
Develop and disciple a group of student leaders.
Prepare and deliver biblically accurate messages for the students.
Cast vision for, teach, and program all retreats and camps for the students
Create and manage a youth ministry calendar that will drive all the activities and teaching of the ministry.
Implement student registration, program management, and security policies/practices in support of weekly services and special events.
Design, plan, and conduct periodic youth parent meetings to engage and update families of youth attending CBC.
Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of student ministry facilities and supplies.
Assist in the development of an annual budget for youth ministries and manage spending this budget.
Be an active presence in local high schools scheduling periodic visits to interact with students at school.
Function as a member of the pastoral staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc., as related to the needs of the youth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possessing a passion for teaching students about God, and the ability to administrate as a department head.
Education and Experience

About Community Bible Church:
Community Bible Church is a non-denominational church holding to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession. We are located in the suburbs of Nashville Tennessee just north of Brentwood. We are a church of about 200 people and have two full-time pastors on staff. Our senior pastor is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary in California. All of our beliefs and convictions are derived from the Bible. The Bible is our final and ultimate authority. Our doctrines and distinctives are not original to us but come to us from the historic and reformed faith. The celebration of the Sovereign Grace of God at Community is rooted in the Reformation itself. We are an old soul theology in a modern context. What we do as a church is driven by what we believe.

Educational & Doctrinal Requirements:
Must adhere to the 1689 London Baptist confession or Westminster Confession of Faith
Must adhere to Community Bible Church's Statement of Faith (can be found at http://www.cbcnashville.org/about)
Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a ministry-related field and has some experience in student ministries (Seminary degree preferred).
