Job Description:
Description of the Current situation: Current Senior Pastors are transitioning out of the Lead positions and in cooperation with the Area Vineyard Overseer are searching for a new Senior Pastor.
There has been no moral or financial or other major issues in the church.
Attendance is approximately 50 people. Prior to Covid, 100 plus.
The church can guarantee a salary for one year and is financially stable.
The church has a_noemailmitted Sunday morning team: Band, Children's Church, Coffee Bar, Youth. It also has Women's and Men's leadership and an active Prayer team.
It has a positive reputation in the_noemailmunity as a result of much_noemailmunity outreach.
The church is located in a storefront on Main Street with free parking garage accessibility.
Description of the Community: Plainfield in a thriving_noemailmunity and continues to grow.
It is friendly to the Christian Message, with a Quaker heritage. The church reflects the lack of diversity in the_noemailmunity, but that is changing all the time.
Description of the prospective Candidate: We are looking for someone with a call to Pastor and to reach out to not yet believers outside the church. Training_noemailpatible with Vineyard Theology and Values.
The Pastor serves as the President of the Board. He is also the overseer of Staff which includes a Co-Pastor and 3 part-time worship leaders. The Co-pastor oversees 1 part-time Children's Director. All Board Members and Staff understand that they will offer their resignation upon the hiring of the new Senior Pastor. This will allow for the new leadership to choose their own Board and Staff.
The Pastor also oversees the Finances and Building Maintenance. These are positions that will hopefully be filled by others in the future. The Pastor is also in essence a Volunteer Recruiter for most of the needs of the church not recruited by members of the staff.
The Pastor is accountable to The Area Vineyard Leader.
